Installation Instructions for Whip Aerial Antenna

Installing the whip aerial is simple and takes only a few minutes. Follow the steps below:

1. Locate the Indoor Port:

Identify the designated indoor antenna port on your mobile signal booster unit. It is usually labeled “Indoor” or marked with an antenna icon.

2. Choose the Correct Whip Antenna:

Make sure you’re using the correct connector type (either N-type or SMA-type) that matches your repeater model.

3. Connect the Antenna:

Carefully screw the whip aerial onto the indoor port of your booster. Ensure the connection is secure but do not over-tighten.

4. Adjust the Position:

Once connected, position the antenna vertically (pointing straight up) for best signal dispersion throughout the room. Avoid placing the antenna behind metal objects or in enclosed cabinets, as this may obstruct signal flow.

5. Test the Signal:

Power on the booster and allow it to optimize. Use your mobile phone to check signal strength in various spots around the room. For optimal results, place the booster unit with the whip aerial in a central indoor location.

Tips for Best Performance

• Position the booster and whip antenna at least 5–10 meters away from the outdoor antenna to avoid interference or oscillation.

• Avoid installing the whip aerial in areas with excessive metal or thick concrete, which may reduce signal efficiency.

• For larger buildings or multiple-room coverage, consider upgrading to a panel or ceiling-mounted indoor antenna for wider distribution.
